The application window for the Nebraska Broadband Bridge Program is February 9-24, 2023. The Nebraska Broadband Bridge Program is intended to address the following priorities:
1. Broadband infrastructure deployment designed to directly enable work, education, and healthcare monitoring;
2. Address a critical need that resulted from or was made apparent or exacerbated by the COVID-19 public health emergency; and
3. Address a critical need of the community to be served by the deployment.
Eligible applicants for this program include: (1) a broadband Internet service provider including any telecommunications company, cable television company, or wireless network provider that provides broadband Internet service; (2) a cooperative; (3) a political subdivision; (4) a tribal government. Applications from a political subdivision or a tribal government shall be made as part of a public-private partnership with a broadband Internet service provider.
This is a competitive program with $128M in funds available from the US Treasury as part of the Coronavirus Capital Project Funds.
