Calix Welcomes Supply Chain Veteran Jerry Cederlund as It Scales To Meet Growing Demand

Over the last year, we’ve seen tremendous growth across the fiber broadband and subscriber experience industries, as nearly everything in our lives went virtual and remote. Governments and private investors have made unprecedented levels of investment to meet this new work/learn-from-anywhere world. 

Broadband service providers (BSPs) of all types have responded to the increased demand for their services. They’ve expanded their high-performance fiber networks to enable communities to work and learn from anywhere, keep up with appointments, stream music and videos, engage in gaming, and remain connected to family and friends. We are proud to have supported BSPs in this incredible year of growth. Through the power of the Intelligent Access EDGE and Revenue EDGE platforms, we’ve helped our customers simplify their business, excite their subscribers, and grow their value. 

Scaling for Supply-Chain Growth

Our supply chain has truly gone above and beyond in the past year—deftly managing pandemic-related materials constraints, shifts in production, and transportation issues—while ensuring that we fulfill our obligations to our customers in the future through the power of automation, analytics, and a great team.

The supply chain will continue to be a critical element fueling growth for us and our customers. To that end, I am privileged to announce that Jerry Cederlund is now leading the Calix supply chain team as senior vice president, supply chain operations. Jerry will be responsible for optimizing our supply chain and continuing our investments in people, technology, and processes to scale our operations. His efforts will help ensure that we delight our customers and support their success as they capitalize on the growth opportunities ahead. 

Jerry adds an impressive background to our world-class supply chain team. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computing Systems from DePaul University in Chicago and a Master of Business Administration from Saïd Business School at Oxford University. He has 35 years’ experience leading and transforming supply chain operations for technology companies, including:

• Serving as SVP of Supply Chain Operations for CommScope’s Network and Cloud infrastructure business before leading CommScope’s Home Networks devices business. 

• Holding executive positions across Motorola’s supply chain, leading business operations, sourcing, quality, manufacturing, distribution, and product development. 

• Holding executive positions in North America, the United Kingdom, and Singapore.

I am excited that Jerry is joining the Calix team and look forward to seeing the impact of his leadership here.
