As the holiday spirit fills the air, we're excited to launch our first-ever Season of Giving!  

Our Season of Giving speaks to our commitment to positively impacting the communities we serve, regardless of where our employees are located. It's a heartfelt journey into building community, serving those in need, and making a difference in our world.

People-First; Community-Always

In our predominantly remote-first culture, physical distance does not diminish our capacity to create change and cultivate community. At Calix, we believe that no distance is too great when it comes to making a difference. Our Season of Giving ensures that everyone at Calix can make a meaningful impact regardless of location.

The miles that separate us only strengthen our resolve to make meaningful connections.  

Our Season of Giving is not centered around charitable contributions. Instead, we recognize the value of investing time into giving back, so we're making volunteerism the central focus of our initiative. We're fostering a sense of community and purpose that transcends geographical boundaries by encouraging our employees to dedicate their time and talents to worthy causes.

We've curated numerous ways for employees to give back. We offer an array of activities that match our team's varied interests and lifestyles, both in-person and remotely. Whether it's contributing to a local clothing drive, participating in virtual volunteering events, or leading community-centric projects through our vibrant Meetup groups, there's a way for everyone to get involved.

At our Leadership Summit, we're encouraging a spirit of giving back to the community that is hosting us.

Our Meetup groups, which are employee-led networking groups, are organizing volunteer activities tailored to their local communities.

For those who prefer the comfort of their own space, we've crafted various virtual events to ensure everyone can participate.

We understand that small actions collectively make a significant impact. Our goal is to empower our employees to take those small steps, knowing that their contributions are making a real difference in the lives of others.

Global Movement; Local Impact

We are launching a range of activities—from virtual events to on-site clothing drives and community volunteer efforts in various locations.   

From California to New York, China to India, each initiative we embark on is rooted in the belief that small, heartfelt actions create lasting, significant change.

In these times of uncertainty and division, the values of kindness and generosity shine even brighter. Our initiative is a gentle reminder that acts of goodwill can set a wave of positivity in motion, illuminating our world with hope and unity.

Chief Sustainability Officer

Martha is the Chief Sustainabilty Officer at Calix. Martha is focused on Calix’s culture and leading initiatives related to equity, diversity, and inclusion; advancing women in telecom; and growing our environmental and sustainability efforts. Previously, Martha was the chief customer success officer at Calix and has held leadership positions at Digital Equipment Corporation, Microsoft, and Salesforce. She is a graduate of Smith College and serves on their presidential board, and is a published scientific author.
