Stop Testing AI. Start Running It.

Last year at ConneXions, we introduced our vision for agentic AI built for service providers.

This year, the conversation changed.

We stopped talking about what AI could do. We showed what it is doing.

About 3,000 service provider leaders, innovators, and partners joined us in Las Vegas for two intense days and 91 educational sessions. Again and again, the same truth surfaced:

AI doesn’t create value because you have it. It creates value because you put it to work.

Stop experimenting, start operating

Service providers don’t need another AI pilot. Another disconnected assistant. Another shiny tool pointed at an isolated business problem.

They need AI inside the business. Across all of it. Doing real work.

That distinction matters.

Disconnected agents and assistants create their own gravity. Another integration. Another data silo. Another system to secure and govern. More complexity disguised as innovation.

AI becomes powerful when it connects to the data, workflows, systems, and people already running the business.

Think about car engines. On its own, even the world’s most powerful engine goes nowhere. Connect it to the drivetrain, wheels, steering, and controls, and suddenly you have motion.

AI is the same. Intelligence alone isn’t transformation. Contextual, connected intelligence and autonomous action is.

The AI advantage compounds

Every industry eventually hits a moment when the rules change.

The communications sector is at that moment now.

The providers putting AI to work today can acquire subscribers faster, find new revenue, lower operating costs, and deepen loyalty.

And here’s the part that matters: the advantage doesn’t stand still. It compounds.

Every month AI operates inside the business, workflows get smarter. Operations get sharper. Teams learn faster.

Waiting isn’t standing still.

It’s letting the leaders get further ahead.

Connect intelligence to the work

At ConneXions 2026, we showed what that looks like across the AI-native Calix One platform:

  • Subscriber Agent in CommandIQ®. Subscribers manage, optimize, and protect their home networks simply by asking. Less routine support. More engagement.

  • Control Center for Agent Workforce. Every team gets the insights, recommendations, and actions that matter to its role, inside the guardrails the provider defines.

  • Expanded agentic workflows. Find growth opportunities. Automate campaigns. Investigate network alerts. Identify emerging outages.

  • Workflow Studio (coming soon). Extend automation into your own business systems without writing code.

  • SmartMDU™ and SmartBiz™ advancements. Win more multifamily and small business customers from the same platform.

Different use cases. One idea: Connect the intelligence to the work. Then let it go to work.

Make AI powerful, not complicated

Here’s the trap with AI: it is remarkably easy to add AI and remarkably hard to operationalize it.

Service providers shouldn’t have to become AI integration companies.

They shouldn’t have to stitch together an expanding universe of models, agents, data, workflows, governance, and infrastructure just to create an outcome.

That’s our job.

Calix has invested more than $2 billion in its platform over 15 years, built on 26 years of workflow expertise and more than 5 billion workflows running every year.

That foundation lets us absorb complexity, so our customers don’t have to.

And Calix Success turns capability into outcomes through expertise, education, and proven practices.

With technology getting more sophisticated, the experience should be simpler.

The best AI story isn’t ours

The most important voices at ConneXions weren’t ours.

CEOs from 10 service providers took the main stage to talk about how they are using technology, data, and customer experience strategies to move their businesses forward.

That’s the real shift.

They’re not waiting for AI. They’re running it.

And ultimately, that’s what matters.

The platform isn’t the story. The results are.

Measure the result (or it doesn’t matter)

ConneXions 2026 felt like a line in the sand.

On one side: AI promises, pilots, and experiments. On the other: AI in production.

Now we need to hold AI to a much tougher standard.

Does it grow revenue? Does it lower cost? Does it simplify work? Does it create a better experience?

If not, it’s just technology.

If it does, it’s an operating advantage.

The formula from here is simple:

Connect the intelligence. Put it to work. Measure what changes.

That’s how AI stops being another layer in the technology stack and starts changing the business.
