Light Reading Founder and Broadband Forum Broadband Access Summit Event added to ConneXions

We made two special Calix ConneXions updates last week. First, Steve Saunders, founder of Light Reading, Heavy Reading, and Dark Reading, and legendary journalist, publisher, and author will keynote 2017 Calix ConneXions.

Steve launched Light Reading in 2000, built it into a publishing juggernaut, then sold it in 2005 for a record $33 million. In 2014, he reacquired it and has refocused the publication on the business and societal implications of next-generation technology. As a result of this shift, the site's audience has more than doubled in the last two years to almost 500,000 unique monthly visitors from around the world.

Second, the Broadband Forum is hosting the Broadband Access Summit Event (BASE) at the Encore Las Vegas on Sunday, October 29 and encourages Calix ConneXions attendees to register for this free event.

Sessions during this event will cover Gfast and NG-PON2 technology advantages and readiness for deployment of next generation access networks. Take advantage of this opportunity to hear from leading component and system vendors, as well as network operators, as they share their insights on the latest technologies, applications, use cases, and deployments. View the BASE overview and agenda here.
