Calix Launches PathFinder, a Software Specialization Program for Partners

PETALUMA, CA – June 13, 2016 – Calix, Inc. (NYSE: CALX) today announced the launch of PathFinder, a new software specialization program designed to give Calix Channel Partners the tools to help service providers offer an unmatched subscriber experience to their broadband customers. By leveraging Calix Compass software as a unique competitive differentiator, Calix Channel Partners will be able to offer their service provider customers new levels of network visibility and subscriber insight across their entire access network. PathFinder joins a growing number of specialization programs that are part of the Calix Fiber Forward Partner Program, a highly selective program for its channel partners. All 85 Calix Channel Partners in 66 countries across six continents are eligible to enroll in this software specialization program, expanding their ability to help enable the winning service providers.

According to the Customers 2020 study recently published by analyst firm Walker Consulting, customer experience will continue to separate from price and product as the key differentiator in business-to-business interactions over the next five years. The Calix PathFinder program gives its channel partners the tools, training, and products they need to create a powerful subscriber experience – becoming a trusted strategic advisor to their service provider customers and enabling new revenue streams through the combined value of Calix Compass software and Calix access solutions.

“MEconnect enrolled into the PathFinder program as soon as it was announced at the Calix Partner Summit in Barcelona in April,” said Jean El Gemayel, CEO of MEconnect, a Calix Channel Partner based in Dubai, UAE. “This program will give us the flexibility to demonstrate the combined value of Compass and the GigaFamily anywhere, anytime in our market. I am confident that PathFinder will accelerate our market share growth by enabling what all service providers are prioritizing now - delivering an unmatched subscriber experience.”

The Compass application suite gives service providers a 360-degree view of their subscriber’s experience based on traffic, devices, usage patterns, and service tiers. With data correlation and analytics, Compass helps service providers identify new service and revenue opportunities as well as aid troubleshooting. Channel Partners who enroll in PathFinder receive a free Compass demonstration kit, including two Calix 844E GigaCenters.

“Since establishing the Fiber Forward Partner Program, Calix has helped Channel Partners meet the evolving needs of their respective markets,” said Jean-Francois Rousseau, international channel sales director at Calix. “With the launch of the PathFinder specialization program, our Channel Partners can bring a subscriber experience offering like no other to their customers. We are fully committed to maintaining and improving the relationship between Calix and our Channel Partners, and the PathFinder program enhances that by allowing our Channel Partners to develop a competitive differentiator through Calix Compass software.”
