Now that’s Active Ethernet reimagined
AXOS Innovation disrupts the Active Ethernet (AE) market by introducing a Gigabit Ethernet line card solution that greatly simplifies operations and accelerates AE service deployments. This future proofing of AE is driven by abstracting Active Ethernet services from the ONTs and associated servers into the AXOS platform, removing dependence on the hardware. As is the case with GPON, 10G PON, or Gfast, by abstracting services for AE into the AXOS platform, CSPs create a common operation, service management and provisioning model, dramatically simplifying service deployments. With AXOS R19.3, Calix is introducing and delivering software-defined Active Ethernet ONT management capability onto the E7-2 GE-24 r2 line card. The combination of the AXOS platform and the ONT management capabilities delivered by the GE-24 r2 line card is unmatched and will deliver simplicity, a “just like PON” service management and provisioning experience and true differentiation to the marketplace.
AXOS R19.3 delivers two new features to our Aggregation solutions. The first is Active/Active Cross Card LAG which introduces new scalability and redundancy to AXOS Aggregation deployments for both Ring and Uplink connectivity. The second is E-NNI which introduces a new interface type to AXOS systems that adds important tag action functionality to externally connected interfaces.
Calix Customer Success is now an integrated feature of the Remote Monitoring Service. A Customer Success Manager helps service providers accelerate the time to value of the Remote Monitoring Service and is included with the offering. The Customer Success Manager will work with the customer to help integrate the intelligent trouble notifications, alarm analytics and reporting enabled by the Remote Monitoring Service into their incident management workflows and help identify ways to track and improve operational efficiency and subscriber satisfaction.
Your goal is to improve broadband performance for your subscribers, but the challenge is establishing a testing framework that provides actionable insight into Quality of Service measures. Regulatory bodies such as the FCC have mandated that service providers using certain funding sources put all the necessary equipment, systems and procedures in place to enable performance testing and start reporting their results on a regular basis.
The Broadband Performance Testing Service is a Calix Managed Services offering that can help you deploy and operate your Calix CAF Performance Testing Solution. It includes regular testing framework pre-tests, reporting and proactive performance analysis along with ongoing support for regulatory compliance reporting.
