Calix RTC enclosures are designed to support B-Series deployment. In addition, these cabinets can be retrofitted to support Calix E-Series systems in the same cabinet with the B-Series.

All RTC enclosures support copper, fiber, and hybrid deployments. Ranging in capacity from 20 to 192 connections, each can be equipped with a full range of options and integrated equipment.

Scalable, Versatile

From small footprint to large-sized pad mount fiber and/or copper environments, RTC enclosures can be deployed in a variety of locations and configured with modular features. Communications service providers can deploy fiber and copper solutions side by side in existing locations and in new build areas – or install copper today and upgrade the same cabinet to fiber in the future. These enclosures support multiple shelf assemblies with a full complement of cable/fiber management, fan, protector panel, charger/rectifier, and battery options.

Robust Thermal and Power Management

Built according to industry standards and thermally rated to withstand harsh environments, these environmentally controlled cabinets provide the thermal management required to support high take rate and high bandwidth voice, data, and entertainment services while eliminating excess heat. They include an SNMP-enabled power management shelf. The controller may be configured to aggregate cabinet sensors such as door, thermostat, thermal probes, and battery state and forward the readings to OccamView.

Simplified Fiber Management

RTC enclosures permit either internal or external fiber splicing options and include integrated fiber bend management and termination panels, while allowing for easy cable passage for fiber management and dressing. As a fiber deployment grows, additional fiber management modules can be installed in the field. Service providers can select the fiber management options and scalability that meet their requirements. Calix provides a patented fiber jumper storage adapter to simplify installing, managing, and servicing.

  • Complete assemblies ready for easy installation on poles or walls indoors or outdoors
  • Supports a single B6-001 chassis with POTS, ADSL2+, and VDSL2+ line cards
  • Supports both remote and -48VDC powering options directly
  • Battery backup and AC power options are available
  • Can be deployed in point-to-point, star, ring, or daisy chain topologies
• RTC 4033
  • Supports up to four B6-001 chassis
  • Fiber and copper configurations available for T1, ADSL2+, VDSL2, GPON, and AE
  • Field upgrade kits enable a pay-as-you-grow strategy, adding cooling capacity and cable management for growth
  • Can be deployed in point-to-point, star, ring, or daisy chain topologies
