Ready for the Future
The Calix 700 and 700G family of GPON ONTs are designed for residential and small business applications. Each ONT comes with an Ethernet (either 10/100 or 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet) port and two voice ports as the base configuration. Service providers can select the additional features they need for their applications. Options include RF video, T1 interfaces, additional voice and Ethernet ports, and HPNA v3 for home networking IP over coaxial cable. Calix 700 ONTs have built-in intelligence that auto-detects the bandwidth of the OLT and support three modes: 622 Mbps BPON, 1.2 Gbps GPON, and 2.5 Gbps GPON. This provides a future-ready solution for upgrading from BPON to GPON or from 1.2 GPON to 2.5 GPON.
Every model of the revolutionary 700 ONT is available with a 10/100/1000 Mbps port as a factory ordered option. The net result: The Calix 700G delivers piece of mind, serving bandwidth capacity today two orders of magnitude faster than cable's planned DOCSIS 3.0.
Massive Capacity
When coupled with industry leading Calix 2.5 Gbps GPON technology, Gigabit Ethernet enables support for today's data and multicast IPTV, but also ensures more than adequate bandwidth as video services continue their progression toward predominantly HD and unicast content. Calix 700 and 700G ONTs come complete with layer 3 functionality so that all services can be provided from a single Ethernet interface. A second 10/100 Ethernet port is an option for service providers that choose to physically separate IPTV and data traffic.

The 700G ONTs provide all the same features and functions of our popular 700 ONTs—but boast up to a gigabit per second of bandwidth to the home. Super-Size It
Available in all the same configurations as the Calix 700 ONTs, customers merely need to inform Calix when placing their orders to "super-size" the Ethernet port. The base 700G comes with a GE port and two voice ports. Optional configurations include RF video, T1 interfaces, additional voice and 10/100 Ethernet ports, and HPNA v3 for home networking IP over coaxial cable. Just like the Calix 700 ONTs, the 700Gs have built-in intelligence that auto-detects the bandwidth of the OLT and support three modes: 622 Mbps BPON, 1.2 Gbps GPON, and 2.5 Gbps GPON. This provides a seamless migration path for upgrading from BPON or 1.2 GPON to 2.5 GPON.
Making Video Deployments Easy
Calix 700 and 700G ONTs are designed to enable easy deployment of IPTV and RF video. Because these ONTs are layer 3 devices and support IGMP proxy, all video streams utilized on the PON are available right at the ONT. This enables fast channel change times that consumers will appreciate. For customers deploying RF video systems, Calix is offering an RF set-top return solution built into the ONT to enable two-way interactive RF services.
Remote Configuration and Activation
Calix 700 and 700G ONTs are easy to install, activate, and maintain. Using powerful service management software, the ONTs can be configured, activated, and upgraded quickly from a remote location. Extensive troubleshooting capabilities and simple-to-use service profile menus ensure that services are delivered and ONTs maintained without expensive truck rolls, thus lowering the total cost of FTTP deployment.
