C7 Hands-On Fundamentals: Voice/Data, Turn-up, and Maintenance (2 days)

This two-day course takes you through the Calix C7 provisioning for turning up basic networks, transport services, and deploying telephony and data services over copper and fiber facilities.

This class includes instructor led lectures, discussions, demonstrations, and hands-on labs using Calix equipment. The class also provides plenty of time to get your questions answered by an experienced Calix system engineer. Note: Calix provides computers for use by participants during this class. No laptop is required.

Who should attend

  • Technicians who perform installation, provisioning, operations, and maintenance with the Calix C7 utilizing Calix Management System (CMS)

Prerequisites

  • Completion of C7 Overview online class or equivalent knowledge
  • Knowledge of telecommunications and engineering standards

Reference tools & learning aids

During the class, you'll follow along with the lectures, demonstrations, and lab exercises using a Reference Guide. After class, use the Reference Guide to review class content and view procedures. You will also receive a CD that contains:

  • Calix documentation suite – both HTML and PDF formats – for immediate access to provisioning procedures and other reference information
  • Software simulations used during the class – for refreshing your skills
  • Interactive assessment for the class – to test your recall and reinforce your learning
