MARCH 20, 2007, PETALUMA, CA—Calix, the largest telecom solution supplier
focused solely on access, today announced that senior vice president of Product
and Manufacturing Operations Roger Weingarth was named one of Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine's
Practitioner Pros to Know in its February/March issue. Other recipients of this
prestigious annual award include senior executives from Cisco, ExxonMobil,
FedEx, IBM, and Sun Microsystems.
Weingarth was
selected to receive this honor as a result of the implementation and refinement
of an extremely efficient, globally distributed production system closely
coupled with Flextronics. This system provides Calix customers with very short
lead times while maintaining high product quality standards and minimizing
cost.
"This honor is a
testament to the hard work and dedication of many professionals within Calix
and Flextronics," said Weingarth. "Together, we've built a strong partnership
that directly benefits the 400+ customers of Calix. Our relationship has
allowed Calix to build, test, and deliver products to our customers more
rapidly and with greater efficiency."
This year Supply & Demand Chain Executive is
recognizing 22 Practitioner Pros to Know. These exceptional corporate
executives are driving transformation initiatives and achieving the bottom-line
successes that are helping the supply chain earn recognition as a strategic
business asset.
"By turning the
spotlight on these outstanding Practitioner Pros to Know, we are not only
recognizing their accomplishments but also offering them as role models for
other executives looking to take their own organizations to a higher, more
strategic level within the enterprise," said Andrew K. Reese, editor of Supply & Demand Chain Executive.
"They are all truly 'Pros to Know.'"
